Marquette University Student Government and the Diversity Inclusion and Social Justice Committee are pleased to offer Diversity Advocate training on Marquette’s campus this fall. Diversity Advocate training is a 2-session series on Nov. 7 and Nov. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in AMU room 252.
The Diversity Advocate training will help expand participants’ knowledge of topics such as: social identity, bias, stereotypes, micro aggressions, power and privilege, discrimination and oppression, and ally ship/advocacy skills. Previously, the training was offered exclusively to faculty and staff but it will now be offered to students as well.
Attendance to both sections of the training is mandatory to become a Diversity Advocate, and an RSVP is needed before the beginning of the training to participate. This is a unique opportunity to become a Diversity Advocate and make a difference in a network community centralized around making a safe and inclusive environment on Marquette University’s campus.
All students are invited to attend this free Diversity Advocate Training. Please direct inquiries or RSVP information by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
