MUSG Invites Students to Wicked: The Broadway Musical

Do you enjoy theater? Ever dreamed about the bright lights of Broadway? Well this is the opportunity for you! Marquette University Student Government invites students on an excursion to see Wicked, the Broadway musical who has captivated million’s attention all around the world. Wicked will be presenting at the Marcus Theater stage on Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale for $20 Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. in the CLSI. Debit or credit cards will be accepted for payment. Marquette University Student Government will provide the transportation to and from the theater. Buses will pick up from 16th and Wells on the day of the event at 6:30 p.m.

Wicked is based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by author Gregory Maguire. The novel tells an alternative story of the lives of the witches from the 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz” and L. Frank Baum’s classic 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Winner of over 100 international awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, according to the New York Times Wicked is “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster.” Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz has been called a “cultural phenomenon” for its incredible success around the world.

Grab some friends and head over to Marcus Theater to have a magical experience in Oz! Make sure to pick up your tickets as fast as you can!
