MUSG seeks 2014-15 Program Vice President

Marquette University is in search of creative, energetic and hard-working individual to assume the role of 2014-15 Program Vice President.

The Program Vice President (PVP) serves as the Programming Officer of MUSG and is tasked with overseeing the planning and execution of MUSG and collaborative programs on and off campus, communicating with other programming departments on campus, including but not limited to the Residence Hall Association (RHA), Annex Programming, and LateNight Programming, sitting on the MUSG Budget Committee, and participating on the LateNight Steering Committee. The PVP hires and manages four Program Coordinators and organizes the Program Board with other LateNight organizations.

The Program Vice President position is applicable for a 3-credit internship with the College of Communications and receives a stipend determined by the MUSG operating budget. 

A successful candidate for the Program Vice President position will be an enthusiastic leader with enough experience organizing programs, communication skills, forward thinking ability, and adaptability to help lead MUSG during this time of change and transition. The successful candidate will also bring many, if not all, of the following professional qualifications, skills, experience, and personal qualities:

  • A strong and deep understanding of the value of programming on campus
  • Creative and enthusiast spirit towards faculty, students, and their work
  • Planning experience with strong detail orientation
  • Proven leadership experience in high school and/or college activities
  • An ability to work under extreme stress and firm deadlines
  • An ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher
