Marquette University Student Government invites and encourages all undergraduate students to attend a town hall on Monday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. in AMU Ballroom AB to discuss the possible commissioning of DPS.
Students have the opportunity to speak with Marquette leadership about the possibility of commissioning DPS officers. Dr. L. Christopher Miller, vice president for student affairs, Tom Ganey, vice president of planning, and Interim DPS Chief Mascari will be present to answer any questions or concerns from students regarding public safety on Marquette’s campus.
MUSG President Kyle Whelton stresses that the focus of the town hall is to give students an opportunity to voice their opinions about campus safety, especially regarding the role of DPS. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to use this chance to share opinions with university leadership.
The university is looking for input and feedback from students and wants them to know that Marquette is listening and working to solve any issues.
MUSG Senate’s regular weekly meeting will follow the town hall at 7:30 p.m. in AMU 227.
