MUSG 2014-15 Speaker Series continues with True Blood’s Kristin Bauer

Marquette University Student Government is excited to announce Kristin Bauer as the second speaker to present on Marquette’s campus as a part of its 2014-15 Speaker Series. Bauer will speak in the Weasler Auditorium on Thursday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m.

Kristin Bauer is best known for her portrayal of vampire “Pam” on HBO’s hit show True Blood. This American film and television actress, a born and raised Wisconsinite, calls Racine her home. In 2012, Kristin traveled to Kenya to produce and direct a documentary on the increasing elephant ivory and rhino horn poaching crisis. Speaking from her inspiring experience, she will share her passion for sustainability and animal rights.

In Bauer’s “Out for Africa” presentation, she will guide the audience through her travels in Africa by sharing stories of the people she met and the cultures she experienced. Bauer will pay specific attention to the global genocide of elephants and rhinos in Africa. She will speak to the horrific continuation of ivory poaching and what we can to do to help preserve the wildlife.

All students are invited to attend this free MUSG Speaker Series event.
