MxMU continues tradition of great music on campus

With all the great music brought to campus by MU Unplugged, it might be hard to remember all the talented musicians we’ve previously had on campus. In fact, many of the acts that Marquette has featured over the years have gone on to achieve fame and success. Don’t believe us? Take a look for yourself.

Starting with the most recent, Hellogoodbye, the indie pop group known for their 2007 hit single “Here (In Your Arms)” came to Marquette in March of 2012. They even tweeted about it!

After her appearance at Marquette, Sara would go on to become a Grammy nominated artist, with her music featured on many TV shows and movies. Take a look at Sara’s Marquette performance here:

And now, fast forward to 2014 the tradition of great music at Marquette continues. MU Unplugged, Marquette University Student Government’s coffee house concert series, resumes tonight with a three-part music festival – M x MU. Featuring great bands and Marquette’s own student talent, M x MU kicks off at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6 and continues on Feb. 13 and 20 in the first floor lobby of the Alumni Memorial Union. Who knows, maybe one day you can say that you saw Marrow and Fever Fever before they made it big!
