MUSG to host Fright Fest excursion

Marquette University Student Government will host an excursion to Six Flags Great America’s Fright Fest on Saturday, Oct. 12. Buses will depart from SHAMU at 7 p.m. and return at 1 a.m. MUSG invites students to get themselves into the spooky spirit of Halloween with this excursion. Raging Bull, Superman, X-Flight and all other favorite attractions will still send riders on screaming adventures. With haunted houses, performers and the scare tactics of the Six Flag Scare Team, the entire park will send chills down your spine.

Amidst the thousands of cornstalks, cobwebs and creepy creatures, you and your friends can dare to roam the haunted midways of this frightening theme park turned scream park. This year’s Fright Fest includes two new “Fearful Frights” attractions:  The Abyss and Total Darkness, both exploring the mysterious occurrences of the Bermuda Triangle.

Additionally, each area of the park will change into its own “Spine Chilling Adventure”: Yukon Territory turning to Deadwood Grove, Southwest Territory to Skull Valley, County Fair Train Station Area to Grim Hollow and Carousel Plaza to Purgatory Plaza.

Tickets for this night of thrills and early Halloween celebration are currently on sale in the Brooks Lounge for $15. Students who have season passes may buy a ticket for $10, and will still have access to the transportation to the park.
