The Voices

MUSG and the Indian Student Association invite Marquette students to a night full of music. This musical event, titled “The Voices,” will feature Chai-Town, a South Asian A Capella group traveling to Marquette from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Voices will be held on April 12, 2013 in Marquette Place. Students of the University of Illinois created Chai-town over 10 years ago. Since then they have turned Chai-Town into a musical and cultural sensation. This A Capella group recently had their third studio album featured in Times India magazine. Chai-Town could not be more excited to come share their talents with the Marquette population.

The event will also include musical performances from Marquette’s finest singing and dance groups. The Naturals, the Meladies, the Gold N’ Blues and Pure dance will all be performing at The Voices.

“The A Capella groups on campus are so much fun! I never miss a chance to see them for free!” Marquette sophomore, Courtney Wright told MUSG. The event is free, no ticket required, and open to all Marquette students.

This is a night of music Marquette students will not want to miss. To preview some of Chai-Town’s sound, check them out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuTbfHKNTdA.
