Upcoming Student Government Elections

MILWAUKEE (Aug. 26, 2012) – Are you looking to get involved on our campus? Elections for open positions within Marquette University Student Government (MUSG) and the Marquette University Residence Hall Association are just three weeks away and application packets are now available online! The MUSG Senate is responsible for representing the student body's ideas, opinions and concerns to the Marquette University administration. Senators represent students in a variety of ways: writing legislation to be approved by the senate, meeting with administrators to discuss students' ideas or concerns, planning forums to address important topics like campus safety, and creating surveys to gain a better understanding of Marquette students' needs. Open Senate seats include On-Campus (Residence Halls), Off-Campus, and Commuter.

The Marquette University Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a governing body that serves as the voice of the resident student population. Elected RHA representatives serve as the voice of their halls or apartments by addressing the needs of the residents through programming, initiating change, and building community among the residence halls. Open positions include RHA Representatives, and seats on hall and apartment councils.

If you are interested in running for MUSG Senate, visit to download the application. To obtain an RHA election packet, speak to a desk receptionist at a residence hall or university apartment. Turn in your MUSG packets to the MUSG office or RHA packets to the front desk of your residence hall or university apartment by noon on September 7, 2012. Elections will be held on September 13, 2012.
