MILWAUKEE (Feb. 8, 2012) – Marquette University Student Government will host its annual Night of Chocolate on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 8 to 10 p.m. in the AMU ballrooms. This year’s Night of Chocolate theme is “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Truffles, chocolate fountains, cupcakes and cookies are just a few of the decadent desserts to be served.
Students will have the opportunity to win a coveted “Golden Ticket” two weeks before the event. Students who are lucky enough to find a ticket will win two free admissions to Night of Chocolate; “Golden Tickets” can be redeemed in the MUSG office. “Golden Tickets” will be hidden inside ten of the many candy bars to be distributed the week before the event.
Last year, Night of Chocolate was thwarted by a blizzard that brought icy sidewalks and blistering winds to Marquette’s campus. Despite the wintery weather, this event was one of the most highly attended events last year. 650 students are expected to attend this year; Night of Chocolate is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year.
“Night of Chocolate is one of the best events put on by MUSG. Being an annual event, it really brings students together on campus for a fun night. Did I mention how great the chocolate is?” said MUSG President Joey Ciccone.
Tickets sales begin on February 6 and can be purchased in the Brooks Lounge for $8 with a valid Marquette ID. There is a limit of one ticket per person. Students are encouraged to dress in semi-formal attire.
Don’t miss your chance to experience a Willy Wonka-worthy night of chocolate fun and deliciousness!
