MILWAUKEE- (Dec. 3, 2011)- MUSG will be hosting a shopping excursion to Chicago on Saturday, December 3 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Marquette University students will be provided with transportation via coach buses to and from the event. Upon reaching Chicago, students will have the opportunity to explore the Christkindlmarket, shop at department stores and ice skate in Millennium Park. The Christkindlmarket is a traditional German American holiday market in Daley Plaza. It is only open from Thanksgiving to Christmas and offers unique crafts and gifts for sale, a variety of entertainment, as well as German food and drinks.
Sophomore student, Alex Lahr, says, “Fifteen dollars for a round trip from Milwaukee to Chicago is an incredible deal! It will be fun to go with my friends.”
Tickets cost $15 with a valid MUID and are currently on sale in the Brooks Lounge, located on the first floor of the AMU. Do not miss this great opportunity to experience the Christmas atmosphere in downtown Chicago and find the perfect gifts!
